It is with heavy hearts and profound admiration that we announce the passing of Ryan Curtis Jezequel, who departed this world on March 16, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on June 11, 1974, in the quaint town of Woodstock, Ontario, Ryan was a beacon of light and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know him. Ryan was the cherished son of Bob Jezequel and Gayle Beisel, who nurtured in him the values of faith, compassion, and integrity that he carried throughout his life. As a devoted father, he leaves behind his beloved children, Joel Jezequel and Lev Jezequel, who were the pride and joy of his world. Ryan’s family extended to his loving sister, Mel O'Neill, and brother, Rob O'Neill, who shared in the laughter and adventures of their childhood and continued to be pillars of support throughout his life. His faithful feline companion, Barney, will miss his gentle presence and warm affection. Ryan's professional journey took him to Protocol in Hamilton, where he worked with dedication from 2001 to 2011, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends. Later, he embarked on a fulfilling career with Deluxe Taxi in Barrie, serving the community with a smile and a story from 2012 until 2025. His work was a testament to his strong work ethic and his unwavering commitment to serving others with dignity. A man of profound faith, Ryan was a quiet testament to the teachings of Christ. His life was a living sermon of honesty, compassion, and unwavering trust in the Lord. He was involved in various faith-based organizations, where his gentle spirit and kind heart touched countless lives. Ryan had a deep love for sports, especially hockey and baseball. He was an ardent supporter of the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays, often found cheering them on with fervor and excitement. Music was another of Ryan’s passions, a constant companion that filled his life with joy and serenity. It was through music that he expressed the depths of his soul, connecting with the world in a special way. To those who knew him, Ryan was a gentle soul with an easy-going grace, a man who faced life with a happy-go-lucky attitude that could brighten the darkest days. His generosity knew no bounds, and he was always there to lend a hand, putting the needs of others above his own. Ryan’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and a life lived with purpose and grace. As we bid farewell to Ryan, we hold onto the special message from his family: "Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day...unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear." Ryan’s spirit will forever walk alongside those he cherished, a guiding light in times of darkness and a comforting presence in moments of sorrow. A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share in the stories and laughter that defined his journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Ryan’s heart, continuing his legacy of giving and compassion. Ryan Curtis Jezequel will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Rest in peace, dear Ryan, knowing that your life was a blessing and your memory a treasure.
