With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Bohde, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend to many, on April 17, 2026, in the gentle embrace of the hospital. Ruth was 61 years old and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering love. Ruth was born on June 23, 1964, in Ft Wayne, Indiana, to her loving parents, Barbara J. Lemons and Wayne L. Uhrick. From a young age, Ruth displayed a remarkable spirit and a compassionate heart that would define her life. Her upbringing in Ft Wayne nurtured her deep connection to family and community, values she carried with her throughout her journey. Ruth was a devoted mother to her beloved children, Brandi M. Uhrick, Chad M. Bohde, and Andrew L. Bohde. Her children were her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to providing them with love, guidance, and support. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren—Adam Mossburg, Trinity Mossburg, and Nathan Bohde—who brought immense joy and fulfillment to her days. Ruth's love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent in their company. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Opal Brown, with whom she shared a profound bond. Ruth found comfort in the memories of their time together, knowing they would one day be reunited. Ruth's gentle soul touched the lives of everyone she met. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence brought light to all who knew her. Ruth's ability to find beauty in the simplest of moments served as an inspiration to those around her, reminding us to cherish each day. A service to honor Ruth's life will be held on April 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the DO McComb Tribute on Main St. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance, sharing stories and celebrating the life of a remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization that held a special place in Ruth's heart. Her unwavering hope and strength in the face of adversity was a testament to her character, and supporting this cause is a fitting way to honor her memory. Ruth Bohde will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
