In Loving Memory of Rustin Jene Szendy. Rustin Jene Szendy passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2026, from natural causes, surrounded by his family. Born November 29, 1986 and a lifelong New Milford resident, Rusty was a passionate soul who lived with true warmth and generosity. He was known for his willingness to help others without hesitation and his unwavering devotion to family and friends. An artist at heart, Rusty grew up drumming and sketching. While he always kept a love for music, as an adult Rusty primarily brought his visions to life with unique sketches, paintings and designs. From skull illustrations to breathtaking pastel sceneries to the art of tattooing (of which he had many!), everything he touched bore the signature mark of someone who saw the world as only Rusty could. Rusty is survived by his beloved daughter Rylee - who he thought of and talked about every day, his father Roger, mother Lucille, brother Regen (partner Kristy), brother Randal (wife Chelsea), his partner Bobbie Savoir and his faithful dog Tonka. Honoring Rusty's spirit, there will be no formal services. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date to gather friends, family, and all those whose lives Rusty touched.
