Russell James Eggleston
March 23, 1962 — April 8, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Russell James Eggleston, who left this world on April 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with complications from surgery. Russell was born on March 23, 1962, in Marysville, California, to Robert Barry Eggleston and Katherine Ann Eggleston. His vibrant spirit and unwavering love for life will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
Russell was a beloved father, brother, and grandfather, whose laughter and joy were as infectious as the melodies he loved to sing. He leaves behind a family who adored him deeply: his children, Robby Eggleston and his spouse, Lyndsey Eggleston, who were a constant source of pride and joy for him; his devoted mother, Katherine Ann Eggleston; his siblings, Tim Eggleston and his partner Estella, David Barry Eggleston, and Beth Rush with her husband Monty. Russell was also a proud grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with stories, wisdom, and unconditional love.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Robert Barry Eggleston, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond and whose memory he cherished throughout his life.
A man of many passions, Russell found immense joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and contentment by the water’s edge, casting lines and reeling in not just fish, but moments of tranquility and reflection. He also enjoyed bow hunting, an activity that allowed him to connect with nature on a profound level. His love for dogs was evident to anyone who knew him, as he shared his home and heart with many loyal canine companions over the years.
Russell's love for country music was legendary, with Garth Brooks being his absolute favorite. He could sing every song by heart and often entertained family and friends with his spirited renditions, his voice carrying the warmth and depth of the music he adored. His dancing, full of energy and joy, could light up any room, and he was known for dancing his boots off at any celebration.
A devoted Seattle Seahawks fan, Russell’s enthusiasm for the team was infectious, and Sundays were often spent cheering them on, surrounded by family and friends who shared in the excitement and camaraderie of the game.
Russell’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit that touched everyone he met. He taught those around him the value of kindness, strength, and living life with passion and purpose. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, in the stories they share, and the love they continue to spread in his name.
A celebration of Russell's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a truly remarkable man whose life was a testament to love, adventure, and resilience. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter, in honor of Russell's love for dogs.
Russell James Eggleston will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him. As we say goodbye, we hold close the memories of his laughter, his songs, and the love he shared with the world. Rest in peace, dear Russell, in the arms of nature you so loved.
