In Loving Memory

Rupert Mulzac
November 6, 1947 — April 22, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Rupert Mulzac, who quietly left this world on April 22, 2026, at the age of 78. Rupert passed away peacefully in his sleep at Bellevue Hospital, following an extended stay. His loved ones take solace in knowing that he is now at rest, surrounded by the love of those who went before him and comforted by the memories of the life he lived so fully.
Born on November 6, 1947, in the vibrant city of Port of Spain, Trinidad, Rupert was the beloved son of Pearl Crow and Theophilus Mulzac. From an early age, Rupert's spirit was as colorful and lively as the island he called home. He carried this vibrancy with him throughout his life, becoming known for his impeccable fashion sense, often seen in colorful clothing and his signature linen short pants sets, complemented by his cherished jewelry.
Rupert spent his career as a skilled welder in the construction industry, shaping not only metal but also the lives of those he worked with. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his love for his family, to whom he was an unwavering pillar of strength and warmth.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Theophilus, as well as his siblings Fredrick, Lucita, and Nelleen. His legacy lives on through his devoted daughters, Keisha and Talena, his cherished grandchildren, Jazmin, Jaheim, Imaji, and Josiah, and his precious great-granddaughter, Nova. He also leaves behind his chosen family, Pamela, with her children Stephen, Savion, Samantha, and Sydney; his brothers Darrell, Leroy, Don, and Matthew; his sisters Umilta, Ruthlyn, Carmeal, and Denise; and a myriad of nephews, nieces, and close friends, including Pastor David Reyes, Hazel, Gilbert Brown, Sister Vangeline, Al Brown, Mike, and Rhonda.
Rupert was a man of deep faith, having been baptized on November 27, 2018. This spiritual journey brought him great comfort and peace, which he shared generously with those around him. His love for life was also expressed through his passion for food and the rhythmic sounds of steel pan music, an homage to his proud Trini heritage.
In honoring Rupert's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Bellevue Hospital, who provided exemplary care and kindness to Rupert during his final days.
Rupert Mulzac's legacy is one of love, joy, and resilience. He touched the lives of many with his warm spirit and infectious smile. As we bid him farewell, we carry with us the beautiful memories and lessons he imparted. Rupert will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
