Born on February 7, 1941, in the picturesque town of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ruby was the treasured daughter of Jo Ann and Robert Wallace. Her life was a testament to compassion, dedication, and unwavering love.
In 1962, Ruby embarked on a beautiful journey of love and partnership when she married the love of her life, Elbert Freeman. Their union was blessed with a family that became the center of Ruby's world. Ruby was predeceased by her sons, daughters, and grandchildren, whose memories she carried tenderly in her heart. Her legacy continues through her devoted husband, Elbert Freeman; her son Elbert Freeman Jr.; her loving daughters Nita Freeman; Lesa Lesure; and Lee Scurllark.
Ruby's professional life was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, as she dedicated herself to the care and well-being of others. As a medical assistant and caregiver, she touched countless lives, offering comfort and healing with her gentle touch and reassuring presence. In accordance with Ruby's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held for close family members. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses who provided such compassionate care to Ruby throughout her journey.
