In Loving Memory of Ruby Lee Chambers Ruby Lee Chambers, a spirited and vivacious soul, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on May 13, 1956, in the quaint town of Kosse, Texas, Ruby was the beloved daughter of Otis Perdue and WilleMae Taylor Perdue. Her life was a vibrant tapestry woven with laughter, love, and warmth that she generously shared with everyone around her. Ruby Lee's early years in Marlin, Texas, laid the foundation for her dynamic spirit. She attended Marlin High School, where she made lifelong friends and memories. Later, she moved to Killeen, Texas, a place she called home and where her lively nature truly blossomed. Known for her love of a good party, Ruby was always at the heart of the action, where her infectious laughter and zest for life touched everyone she met. Family was at the center of Ruby's world, and she leaves behind a legacy of love in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three cherished children: Tawanna (Terrance) Chambers Hayes of Angleton, Texas; Daniel Chambers Jr. of Palmetto, Louisiana; and Candice Chambers of Killeen, Texas. Her four grandchildren—Kobe Chambers, Just'Us Chambers, Tysamirya Reed, and Devine Shegog—along with five great-grandchildren, will forever hold her memory close. Ruby also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Ruby. Ruby was predeceased by her devoted parents, WilleMae and Otis Perdue, and her lifelong companion, William Lunkwitz Jr. She joins in eternal rest her five sisters—Otis Mae Perdue, Ida Ruth Perdue, Inez (Dena) Lang, Helen Perdue, and Alma Jewel Perdue—and two brothers, Norman Jack Perdue and Lewis Perdue. Her enduring spirit continues to live on in her surviving siblings, Agnes Perdue of Marlin, Texas, and Willie (Dorothy) Perdue of Fort Worth, Texas. Ruby Lee Chambers will be celebrated at a memorial service on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Killeen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life beautifully lived and a woman wonderfully loved. In honor of Ruby's generous spirit, those wishing to make a memorial contribution may Ruby Lee Chambers touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a legacy of joy and love. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her laughter, love, and light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
