She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Colyan Painter, her cherished son, Billy Painter, and her loving parents. A woman of unwavering strength, Ruby faced her final days with remarkable grace and courage, never uttering a word of complaint. Her quiet apologies to those who cared for her were a testament to her selfless nature. In the words of her family, "She was a tough ole bird," embodying a spirit of perseverance and humility. Ruby's legacy lives on through her daughter, Tena England, and her husband, Zeb, who were the light of her life. She was a devoted grandmother to Candice Beard (Chris), Tad England (Karla), Tiara Terrell (Kevin), and Zac England (Kadee). Her five great-grandchildren, Tristen, Piper, Rhett, Ellie, and Kaylen, brought immense joy to her days. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Virginia Scott and Wanda Harper (Keith), whose companionship she treasured. Ruby's life will be celebrated with a service on October 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Macedonia #2 Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1092 County Rd 34, Crossville, AL 35962. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her.
