She is survived by her loving brothers, Denzil Lee Jones and Alvin Jones, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
On September 29, 1975, Rubie married the love of her life, Philip Arvine Walls. Together, they built a life filled with devotion and joy, nurturing their children, Michael Andrew (Andy) Walls and Lois Ann (Walls) Kerns, with endless love and guidance. Rubie’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchild, who brought immense joy to her life.
Rubie's warmth and kindness touched many lives beyond her family. She was a guiding light to several nieces and nephews, offering wisdom and affection that knew no bounds. Despite the many challenges she faced, Rubie remained a pillar of strength and grace, inspiring all who knew her.
Her gentle spirit and generous heart were evident in every aspect of her life. She was a source of comfort to those around her, always ready with a kind word or a listening ear. Rubie’s compassion and empathy were matched only by her remarkable resilience.
Though she has departed from this earthly realm, Rubie’s spirit will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, faith, and devotion, leaving behind a legacy that will endure through generations.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Rubie’s life, in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Rubie’s memory to a charity of your choice.
