Rubette was lovingly attended to by her daughter, Cindy Fernandez, who held her hand during her final moments at home, a testament to the profound bonds of love and family that she cherished throughout her life.
Born on February 15, 1943, to Douglas and Dorthy Ellis, Rubette was a beacon of love and kindness. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her younger sister, and her younger brother. Despite these losses, Rubette's spirit remained ever resilient, a quality that defined her life and inspired all who knew her.
Rubette's life was one of devotion, both to her family and to her deep faith. She was a prayer warrior, known for her unwavering commitment to praying for those in need. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the hours she spent in her yard, tending to her cherished roses. Her hands were rarely idle, as she found joy and comfort in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that warmed both body and heart.
Her legacy is carried on by her daughter, Cindy Fernandez, and her granddaughter, Pamela Bossert. Rubette's family was the center of her universe, and she was blessed with six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, including five great-grandsons, two step-great-grandsons, and one step-great-granddaughter. Each generation has been touched by her love and her example of kindness and strength.
Rubette's compassion extended beyond her family. She had a special place in her heart for veterans, and she supported them through donations and prayers. In honor of her generous spirit, the family suggests that donations be made to organizations supporting veterans.
