It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Ruben Gil Ruvalcaba, whose life was tragically cut short on May 1, 2026. Born on June 10, 2011, in Zamora, Michoacan, Mexico, Ruben was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever linger in our hearts. Ruben was the beloved son of Ruben Gil Puga and Celina Gil Ruvalcaba. The family moved to Texas, where Ruben attended LBJ High School. Though his time with us was brief, it was filled with laughter and joy. Ruben's humor was infectious; he was known for his ability to make anyone smile with his playful antics and silly jokes. His easygoing nature and extroverted personality made him a friend to many, and he was always the life of the party, especially during those memorable weekends. His love for construction was evident from a young age. Ruben had a natural knack for building and creating, a talent that he nurtured with great enthusiasm. Whether working on small projects or dreaming up grand designs, he embraced his work with dedication and passion. Ruben had a unique way of connecting with people, often over simple pleasures like sharing hotdogs with a Sprite. His warmth and openness drew people to him, making every encounter an unforgettable experience. He was a beacon of light, and his presence will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. A service to honor Ruben's life will be held on May 12, 2026, at 2:17 PM at Church's Chicken, located at 1837 Roblox, Freileingland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Texas Roadhouse in support of the Blooming Onions Memorial Fund, a tribute to the joy and laughter Ruben brought into our lives. As we gather to celebrate Ruben's life, we hold close the special message from his family: "Ya no queda nada tu y yoooo" - Ruben Gil Ruvalcaba. This sentiment echoes the deep and enduring love that will forever bind Ruben to those he left behind. May Ruben's spirit soar free, forever remembered for the joy, laughter, and love he brought into our world. Rest in peace, dear Ruben.
