Ruben Campos

In loving memory of Ruben Campos, who passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on February 12, 1967, in Sacramento, California, Ruben lived a life that was as vibrant and full as the sunshine that graced his birthplace. Ruben was the son of the late Jose G Campos and Pauline L Fragoza, who predeceased him. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Monique M Campos, whom he married on February 27, 1988, in Reno, Nevada. Together, they built a beautiful family and a home filled with love over 41 wonderful years. Ruben and Monique were blessed with three sons, Xavier F Campos, Adrian R Campos, and Jesus A Campos, who were the pride and joy of Ruben's life. A proud graduate of River City High School in 1985, Ruben embarked on a diverse career journey. He began working at Microfiche before moving to Montgomery Wards as a maintenance worker and delivery man. His most cherished role was as a baker at Wonderbread, where he worked from 1989 to 2012. Ruben later spent two years in a coffee factory before joining Cal Trans as a Maintenance Worker, a position he held from 2014 until his retirement in 2022. Ruben was a man of many passions. He found joy in the great outdoors, whether riding motorcycles, ATVs, or his trusty truck. An avid hunter and camper, Ruben relished the tranquility of nature. He was a skilled handyman, always ready to fix tools, make repairs, or put up shelves around the house. His love for meeting new people and spending time with family and friends was evident in every smile and joke he shared. Ruben's laughter and warmth were infectious, and he had an innate ability to light up any room he entered. Those who knew Ruben remember him as a protector and provider, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished friend. His intelligence, kind heart, and joyful spirit made him a beacon of positivity in the lives of those around him. Ruben's legacy of love and laughter will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. A service to honor and celebrate Ruben's life will be held on August 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 1321 Anna Street, West Sacramento, CA 95691. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, a gesture that would honor Ruben's generous spirit. Ruben Campos will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will continue to inspire love, laughter, and kindness in the hearts of all who knew him.
