It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruben Arocho, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ruben passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 83 years old. Born on May 5, 1943, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Ruben was the beloved son of Juan Arocho and Maria Montalvo. His early life in Puerto Rico imbued him with a deep appreciation for family and community, values he carried with him throughout his life. Ruben married the love of his life, Haydee Arocho, on August 24, 1974. Together, they shared 51 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and a bond that served as an enduring example to all who knew them. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Irene Gonzalez, who brought immense joy into their lives. A devoted grandfather, Ruben’s heart swelled with pride for his two grandchildren, Anthony Edwin Gonzalez and Isabel Marie Gonzalez, and his great-grandson, Jonathan Brandon Anthony Gonzalez. He cherished every moment spent with them, offering wisdom and love that will forever guide them. Ruben’s professional life was spent working as a dedicated maintenance worker at Wheaton Glass in Millville. His strong work ethic and commitment were evident to all who knew him, and his contributions were valued by his colleagues. Beyond his work, Ruben was a man of simple pleasures. He had a zest for life that was infectious, delighting in afternoons at the horse track and the joyful anticipation of playing the lottery. His love for the parks in Orlando was a testament to his appreciation for the beauty and spontaneity of life. Above all, Ruben loved his family deeply, and his greatest joy was time spent in their company. Ruben’s passing leaves a profound void, but his spirit will continue to inspire those he left behind. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love will remain etched in the hearts of his family and friends forever. A service to celebrate Ruben’s life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Demarco-Luisi Funeral Home, located at 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life was a testament to love and family.
