May 5, 1943 — May 13, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Ruben Arocho, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, on May 13, 2026. Ruben departed this world peacefully at the age of 83, surrounded by family at AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida. Born on May 5, 1943, in the vibrant town of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Ruben was a man whose life was filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family. Ruben was the beloved son of the late Juan Arocho and Maria Montalvo. His early years in Puerto Rico were marked by the warmth of family and the rich cultural tapestry of his birthplace, elements that he carried with him throughout his life. In 1974, Ruben married the love of his life, Haydee Arocho, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned 51 joyful years. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, serving as a beacon of inspiration to all who knew them. Ruben's professional life was spent as a dedicated maintenance worker at Wheaton Glass in Millville, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliable nature. His colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and kindness, always willing to lend a hand or share a smile. Ruben's heart and soul, however, were most profoundly devoted to his family. He was a proud father to his daughter, Irene Gonzalez, and son-in-law, Edwin Gonzalez, who remember him as a loving and supportive presence in their lives. Ruben also shared a special bond with Angel and Maira Gonzalez, whom he cherished like his own children. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Anthony Edwin Gonzalez and Isabel Marie Gonzalez, who were the light of his life. Anthony’s future bride, Ciena Afanador, was warmly welcomed into the family as his own. Ruben's joy was further multiplied with the arrival of his great-grandson, Jonathan Brandon Anthony Gonzalez, whose presence brought immense delight to his later years. Ruben was a man who embraced the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in the excitement of the horse track, the hopeful thrill of playing the lottery, and the wonder of Orlando's parks. These pursuits were more than hobbies; they were expressions of his zest for life and his appreciation for the moments that brought happiness and connection. Ruben Arocho will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his infectious smile, and his kind spirit that touched everyone he met. His life was a beautiful melody of love, laughter, and family, and his legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. A service to honor Ruben's remarkable life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the love and joy he brought into the world. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ruben's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of generosity and kindness. May Ruben rest in eternal peace, his memory a guiding light and his love a lasting legacy.
