Born on May 5, 1943, in the charming town of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Ruben lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community. Ruben was the cherished son of Juan Arocho and Maria Montalvo, whose values and traditions he carried forward throughout his life. A proud and devoted family man, Ruben is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Haydee Arocho, whom he married on August 24, 1974. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their deep love and commitment, serving as a beacon of inspiration to all who knew them. Ruben was a loving father to his daughter, Irene Gonzalez, and a doting grandfather to Anthony Edwin Gonzalez and Isabel Marie Gonzalez. He also leaves behind a future daughter-in-law, Ciena Afanador, who brought him immense joy, and a great-grandson, Jonathan Brandon Anthony Gonzalez, who was the light of his life. Ruben's legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished by his two grandchildren and great-grandchild. Throughout his career, Ruben worked with dedication as a maintenance professional at Wheaton Glass in Millville. His colleagues remember him as a hard-working and reliable individual who always had a smile on his face and a helping hand to offer. Beyond his professional life, Ruben was a man of simple pleasures. He delighted in spending his days at the horse track, testing his luck with the lottery, and enjoying the vibrant parks of Orlando. His love for life and his infectious enthusiasm were evident in every aspect of his being. Ruben's joyful spirit and unwavering love for his family will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter and warmth touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impression that will endure in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend or family member. A service to honor Ruben's life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Demarco-Luisi Funeral Home, located at 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the remarkable life of a man who brought so much joy and love into the world.
