In Loving Memory

Ruben Arocho
May 5, 1943 — May 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruben Arocho, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, on May 13, 2026, at AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida. Born on May 5, 1943, in the picturesque town of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Ruben brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on this world.
Ruben was the cherished son of the late Juan Arocho and Maria Montalvo. He spent his formative years in Puerto Rico, where he developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and the strength of family bonds. In 1974, Ruben married the love of his life, Haydee Arocho, and together they built a life filled with unwavering love and companionship over the course of 51 beautiful years.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Ruben spent his career as a maintenance worker at Wheaton Glass in Millville. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family, whom he loved fiercely and protected tirelessly. Ruben's gentle spirit and enduring kindness were evident in every facet of his life.
Ruben's zest for life was infectious. He found great joy in simple pleasures, such as spending afternoons at the horse track, testing his luck with the lottery, and enjoying the vibrant parks of Orlando. These were not just hobbies; they were opportunities for him to share his laughter and create lasting memories with those he loved.
Ruben is survived by his beloved wife, Haydee, who stood by his side through all of life's triumphs and challenges. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Irene Gonzalez, whose life was enriched by his guidance and warmth. Ruben was a proud grandfather to Anthony Edwin Gonzalez and Isabel Marie Gonzalez, and he cherished the moments he spent with them. He also held a special place in his heart for his future granddaughter-in-law, Ciena Afanador.
The joy of Ruben's life was further magnified by the presence of his great-grandson, Jonathan Brandon Anthony Gonzalez, who brought immense happiness and a twinkle to Ruben's eyes as he delighted in watching the next generation explore the world.
A celebration of Ruben's remarkable life will take place on May 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Demarco-Luisi Funeral Home, located at 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. in Vineland, NJ. Family and friends are invited to gather in love and remembrance, sharing stories and honoring the legacy of a man who truly loved life and enriched the lives of those around him.
Ruben's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say goodbye to our beloved Ruben, we hold onto the memories and the joy he brought into our lives, cherishing him always.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ruben's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and love for helping others.
