It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Royal, affectionately known as "Kit-Kat," who left this world on July 11, 2026, at his home in Detroit, Michigan. Born on July 11, 2025, Kit-Kat graced our lives for a brief but unforgettable year, filling each moment with joy and warmth. From the moment he entered our lives, Kit-Kat demonstrated an intelligence that was nothing short of remarkable. Those who knew him might say he possessed the wisdom of someone with a Master's Degree in Physiology, understanding the world around him with an insight beyond his years. (Kit-Kat was a cherished member of the family of Tamika, Rick and his sister Mink. Also his Nana (Elaine) and Aunts (Tiana & Timia) and a host of other relatives and friends. His mother, Tamika adored him deeply. He was predeceased by his uncle Travell aka "Vito", his loving great grandparents Pauline (Howard) Johnson and Emma (Charles) Chambers, whose spirits surely welcomed him with open arms. Kit-Kat had a unique talent for captivating attention. His ability to command a room with just a glance was legendary among those who knew him. Ever the entertainer, he brought laughter and happiness to his family, especially when playing with his dear sister, Mink. Kit-Kat also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like taking leisurely naps and relaxing in his favorite cushioned chair. A service to honor Kit-Kat's life was held on July 18, 2026, at the family home. This gathering was served, as a celebration of the joy and love he bestowed upon us all. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all friends and family who knew and cherished Kit-Kat, and who share in their love for him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any expressions of sympathy be directed towards a charity of one's choosing in Kit-Kat's memory. Though Kit-Kat's time with us was all too brief, the impact he made on our hearts will last a lifetime. He will be sorely missed but forever remembered with love and fondness.
