Roxanne Niemann December 22, 1960 - May 19, 2026 With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Roxanne Niemann, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and compassionate caregiver, on May 19, 2026. Roxanne left this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and an adventurous spirit. Born on December 22, 1960, in Woodsville, New Hampshire, Roxanne was the beloved daughter of John and Shirley Fullerton. She grew up in a nurturing home where values of empathy, kindness, and a strong sense of community were deeply instilled. Her mother, Shirley, predeceased her, but her father, John Fullerton, continues to carry forward the cherished memories of his beloved daughter. Roxanne's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to helping others. After graduating from Woodsville High School in 1978, she pursued her passion for nursing at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and later became a Registered Nurse through the NH Technical Institute. For over 40 years, Roxanne served tirelessly in various capacities, including the Emergency Department, Home Health Care, and Case Management. Her colleagues and patients alike admired her for her professionalism, empathy, and ability to bring comfort to those in need. Beyond her career, Roxanne's heart belonged to her family. She is survived by her son, Barry Niemann, and his wife, Ashley, who brought immense joy to her life. Roxanne was a proud grandmother to her grandsons, Nathan and Thomas, who were the light of her life, filling her days with laughter and love. Roxanne had a zest for life that extended far beyond her professional and family roles. She found joy in the simple pleasures, such as spending time with her grandsons, sharing adventures with her beloved dog Kosmic, and tending to her garden. An avid reader, Roxanne cherished moments of tranquility spent in her hammock with a good book, basking in the warmth of a sunny day. Her adventurous spirit knew no bounds, as she embarked on extensive travels across the globe. From the vibrant hues of the Caribbean islands and the cultural richness of India to the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand and the historic charm of Europe, Roxanne embraced the world with open arms. Her favorite destination was Africa, where she experienced the awe-inspiring beauty of safaris, both in 2018 and again in 2025. A notable highlight was her trip to see the majestic Polar Bears in Churchill, Manitoba, in 2023—a testament to her insatiable curiosity and love for nature. Roxanne also had a passion for staying active, whether it was hiking scenic trails, participating in exercise classes, or engaging in spirited games of pickleball. Her vibrant energy and enthusiasm for life touched everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. As we remember Roxanne, we celebrate a life well-lived, rich in love, laughter, and unyielding compassion. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. In honoring her life, let us find comfort in the knowledge that her spirit lives on through the countless lives she touched. A private memorial service will be held to honor Roxanne's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity close to Roxanne's heart, supporting causes related to healthcare and global wildlife conservation. Roxanne Niemann will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love, service, and adventure will continue to inspire us all.
