It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roteashea Best, a beloved daughter, mother, and friend. Born on October 16, 1991, in Florida, Roteashea graced this world with her vibrant spirit and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2026, at the age of 34, due to a heart attack.
Roteashea was the cherished daughter of Johnny Best and the late Robbie Rodgers. Her mother’s nurturing spirit and her father’s enduring love shaped Roteashea into the remarkable woman she became. Although she has now joined her mother in eternal rest, her light continues to shine brightly through her precious four-year-old son, Armani Best, whom she adored beyond measure.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Roteashea spent much of her career at Waffle House, where she was not only a colleague but a friend to many. Her infectious laughter and warmth made every breakfast, lunch, or dinner special for those she served. Roteashea had the unique ability to turn a simple meal into an unforgettable experience with her funny jokes and captivating stories. Her imagination knew no bounds, and she delighted in sharing her intriguing theories about life and the world around us.
Outside of her work, Roteashea had a passion for hair styling. She found joy in transforming tresses with her creative touch, bringing smiles to many faces with her talent. Her approach to life was colored with creativity, humor, and an unwavering dedication to those she loved.
A celebration of Roteashea’s life will be held on April 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM at The Church of Eleven22, located at 2101 Longleaf Pine Pkwy, Saint Johns, FL 32259. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Roteashea are invited to gather in her memory, sharing stories, laughter, and tears as we honor the legacy she leaves behind.
In a heartfelt message, her family shares, "I love you, auntie, and we all hope you rest in peace." These words encapsulate the love and cherished memories that Roteashea leaves with each of us.
