Ross Whitehead
August 14, 1962 — March 25, 2026
Ross Whitehead, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on August 14, 1962, in Enid, Oklahoma, Ross was a beacon of kindness and warmth to all who knew him. He touched countless lives with his gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
Ross was the cherished son of Milo and Billie Lou Whitehead. His father, Milo, preceded him in death, and Ross carried his father's legacy of integrity and love throughout his life. Raised in a close-knit family, Ross shared a special bond with his siblings, Brad Whitehead and Maxie Skaggs, who survive him and will always remember his laughter and guidance.
In 1980, Ross graduated from Deer Creek - Lamont High School, where he forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. A hardworking and compassionate man, Ross found his greatest joy in his family. On December 21, 1991, he married the love of his life, Sherri, in Lamont, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Sherri was more than a spouse; she was his partner and best friend, and their love story was an inspiration to all.
Ross's legacy is carried on by his devoted children: Alisha, Codi (Brandon) Walker, Hunter (Regan) Whitehead, and Jace (Desiree) Whitehead. He was also a proud father to his bonus daughter, Desirae. His children were his pride and joy, and he taught them the values of kindness, hard work, and family. Ross's heart swelled with pride for his ten grandchildren, who brought endless delight and energy into his life.
A man of simple pleasures, Ross loved spending time outdoors, whether it was tending to his garden or enjoying a quiet afternoon fishing. His gentle soul and welcoming smile made him a friend to all, and his community will sorely miss his presence.
A service to celebrate Ross's life will be held on April 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of Lamont. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor a man whose life was a testament to love, generosity, and kindness.
In memory of Ross, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Ross's spirit of giving and compassion.
Ross Whitehead's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a world made better by his presence and a family eternally grateful for the love he bestowed.
