December 2, 1954 — September 21, 2026

Rosie Tucker, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Born on December 2, 1954, in Greenwood, Mississippi, Rosie was the cherished daughter of the late Jimmie Trust and Mary Ann Lee. Rosie was a proud graduate of a High school in Chicago, Illinois, and furthered her passion for creativity by studying Interior Design in college. Though she dedicated many years working at an automotive plant in Flint, Michigan, her heart always remained with interior design. Rosie's exceptional eye for detail was evident in the high-end ceramic pieces she crafted, which beautified her home and reflected her artistic spirit. An active member of the Montrose Baptist Church community, Rosie was a devoted usher who brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met. She took great joy in preparing and serving Sunday dinners, where fellowship and love were always on the menu. Rosie's laughter was infectious, and her easy-going nature endeared her to everyone. Known for her immaculate home and her knack for rearranging furniture, she had a gift for transforming spaces into sanctuaries of comfort and style. A devoted family woman, Rosie cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always offering unconditional love and support. Rosie's life was a testament to loyalty and confidentiality—she was a steadfast friend who kept secrets safe. Her family will forever remember her affectionate spirit and unwavering support. Rosie is survived by her loving children Latanuja (Jeff) Moore, Rose (DaShawn) Keglar, and Victoria McFadden. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jeffery (Aleexa) Moore, Jasmine (Robert) King, Jauan (Kaneisha) Moore, Kameri Harris, Jakari Moore, Alaysia McKnight, Jalaya McKnight, and Jakayla Welsh, as well as her adored great-grandchildren: Robert King III, Sameria Moore, Dylan Wilburn, Melikhi Moore, Jauan Moore Jr, Kendyl Rose Harris, and Jreme Moore. Rosie is also survived by her siblings Albirda Hawkins, Jimmie Trust Jr, Barbara Lee, and Albert Lee, along with a special niece, Patricia Tucker, who played a pivotal role in Rosie's care. Rosie was predeceased by her parents, her brother O.C. Tucker, and her son-in-law Jeffery Moore. Rosie had a close friend Sammie Manning, fondly known as Tex, who was a steadfast companion throughout her life and remains and important and loving part of the family. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Patricia Tucker, who provided compassionate care during Rosie's illness, as well as Patricia Keglar, Patricia Harris, Michelle Tinnin, Sylvia Skipper, and the wonderful hospice team who supported Rosie with love and dignity. A service to celebrate Rosie's remarkable life will be held on October 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Dodd-Dumanois Funeral Home, located at 901 Garland St, Flint, MI 48503. Rosie's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will be cherished for generations to come.
