Rosie Mary Barnes

Rosie, a cherished soul whose presence brought light and love to all who knew her, was born on February 2, 1946, in the heart of Tunica, Mississippi. With profound sadness yet immense gratitude for her life, we remember a woman whose kind heart and generous spirit left an indelible mark on our world. Rosie's life was a testament to the power of love and compassion. She was known for her unwavering devotion to her family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a comforting word. Her warmth and compassion were unmatched, and those fortunate enough to know her were touched by her willingness to put others before herself. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mr. Willie James Barnes, with whom she shared many beautiful years filled with love and laughter. Together, they built a family that continues to reflect the values and virtues they held dear. Rosie is survived by her devoted children, who carry forward her legacy with pride and love: her four sons, Jerry Jones (Chequita), Barry Stevenson, James Jones (Sherrita), and Nathaniel Jones; and her two daughters, Norma Jean Jones and Lucell Stevenson. She is also survived by her dear sister, Mamie Daniels, who shared many cherished moments with her throughout their lives. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Rosie's life on August 8, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Henderson Funeral Home, located at 1090 Prichard Rd, Tunica, MS 38676. It will be a time to honor her memory, share stories of her kindness, and find comfort in the company of those who were touched by her love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Rosie's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of generosity and care for others. As we say goodbye to Rosie, we remember her not only for the love she gave but for the love she inspired in all of us. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all those who were privileged to know her warmth and compassion.
