Rosetter Fleming

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Rosetter "Rose" Annette Fleming on August 13, 2026. Born on November 3, 1954, in Gilbert, Louisiana, Rose lived a life filled with compassion, creativity, and resilience until she peacefully departed this world at her home in Fresno California. Rose is the beloved daughter of the late Ida Jewel Flemming and Isaiah Buddy Flemming, who instilled in her the values of kindness, perseverance and family. She is also predeceased by her cherished brother, David Lee Flemming, and her dear sisters, Larraine Flemming Covington and Jeannette Smiley. Her legacy lives on through her loving daughter, Kenya Tate McCowan, and her adored grandchildren, Thomas Jerome McCowan II and Aza Imani McCowan. Rose is survived by her siblings: brothers Henry Flemming, Isaiah Flemming II, and Andrew Flemming; sisters Dianne Janrhette, Brenda Vik, Ida Faye Frasier, Ruthie Lee Flemming, Josephine Flemming and a host of neices, nephews and cousins. Rose's professional journey was as diverse as it was inspiring. She dedicated many years to the Madera Glass Plant before moving to Dallas, Texas, where she embraced entrepreneurship, founding a successful moving company and cleaning service. Her unwavering dedication to helping others culminated in her work as a Home Health Caregiver, a role she cherished until her retirement in 2022. Beyond her professional pursuits, Rose possessed an extraordinary green thumb and nurtured gardens that blossomed with vibrant life. Her creativity knew no bounds; she was a gifted writer, crafting copywritten songs, poems, short stories, and even a novel under her passion project, Three Rose Writing. Known affectionately as "Little-Baby," Rose's caring nature was a beacon of warmth to all who knew her. Despite life's challenges, she remained a steadfast source of support and comfort, spending over two decades caring for her loved ones. Her spirit of empathy and kindness drew people to her, often finding solace in her presence. A service to honor and celebrate Rose's remarkable life will be held on September 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Jay Chapel Funeral Home, located at 1121 Roberts Ave, Madera, CA 93637. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to pastors Billy Tate and Mr. Neely of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church for officiating the service. Rose will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
