Rosetta Franklin

October 13, 1952 — November 5, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosetta Franklin, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Rosetta was born on October 13, 1952, in Mobile, Alabama, and left this world peacefully on November 5, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rosetta was the cherished daughter of Georgia Mae Simmons and Jesse and Mabel Kyles, who have all predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Earnest L. Phalo, as well as her dear daughters Emily M. M. Rogers and Racheal M. Rogers. Her spirit now joins many beloved family members, including Lilia M. Heartfield, Jesse F. Mitchell, Mabel Key, James L. Flowers, and Lilia M. Johnson. She is survived by her devoted son, Charles E. Rogers, and her seven treasured grandchildren: Anthony Rogers, Sherman Rogers, Mark Cooper, McKeshia Cooper, Dawon Cooper, Dacia Porter, and Paige Beasley. Rosetta also leaves behind her siblings, David L. Mcovery, Ella M. Hayes, Claude L. Benson, Dora M. Simmons, Kirby L. Mitchell, and Mary Lewis, who will all deeply miss her presence. Rosetta was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in sewing, fishing, and was renowned as a great cook whose meals brought the family together. Her quick and warm smile was known to light up any room, and her gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued was unmatched. Rosetta's kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. A service to celebrate Rosetta's life will be held on November 13, 2026, at 9:00 AM, at Destination Church, located at 1947 Duval St, Mobile, Alabama, 36606. The family invites those who wish to honor Rosetta's memory to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice. The Rogers family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Small's Mortuary for their care and preparation, and to Pastor Dylan and the Destination Church for their support and comfort during this difficult time. They also wish to thank everyone who called, visited, and prayed with them, offering solace and strength when it was most needed. Rosetta Franklin's memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Rosetta Franklin welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
