Rosemary Lucianna Wagner

June 2, 1933 — August 13, 2026

It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Rosemary Lucianna Wagner, who was surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 2, 1933, in Lanesboro, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, Rosemary's journey through life was marked by kindness, service, and an unwavering devotion to her family and faith. The beloved daughter of Francis John Kane and Rose Mary Luciana, Rosemary was raised with a deep appreciation for family values and the strength of community. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Francis "Jerry" Kane, and her infant son, Mark Anthony Wagner, whose memories she cherished throughout her life. Rosemary's path led her to marry Arthur Wagner on June 16, 1962, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. Together, they built a life rich in love and companionship. Her legacy continues through her devoted husband, Arthur, and her cherished children: David (Nancy) Wagner, Michael (Janice) Wagner, Karen Meyer, and Laura (Mark) Leahy. Her heart overflowed with pride for her 13 grandchildren, including Ryan (Alex) Wagner, Eric Wagner, Trevor Wagner, Charissa Statz, Dominic Chenois, Jacob (Chantel) Wagner, Kristine (Jesse) Sledge, Nicholas Wagner, Sarah (Daniel) Clements, Lindsay Leahy, Gabriel Leahy, Abby (Ben) Bengtson, and Noah Meyer, as well as with her 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. An accomplished nurse, Rosemary graduated from the Wilson Nursing program in Johnson City, New York. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others, serving at Wilson Hospital, Lourde Hospital Emergency Room, and later as an Industrial Nurse with IBM. Her passion for nursing continued in Rochester, Minnesota, where she worked at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home and with Shamrock In-home Nursing Care. A woman of deep faith, Rosemary was an active member of St. Pius Catholic Church and later Pax Christi Catholic Church. Her interests were varied and enriching; she loved reading, theatre, ceramics, flowers, gardening, picnics, walks, and traveling. Rosemary had a particular fondness for history, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm by giving tours at Plummer House in the summer and Mayowood during the Christmas season. Rosemary's love and devotion were reflected in her love for her family, her roses, and even the simple joy she found in eating peanut butter M&M's while reading. Her legacy is that of a precious soul who loved deeply and gave generously, embodying the beauty of a "Rose" in every sense. A celebration of Rosemary's life will be held on August 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Pax Christi, located at 4135 18th Ave NW, Rochester, MN 55901. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Rosemary's memory. The family of Rosemary Wagner extends their heartfelt gratitude to the friends, neighbors, and dedicated staff of Madonna Towers, Visiting Angels, and Family Service Rochester for their unwavering love and support. Your kindness has been a blessing throughout Rosemary's life. As we remember our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Rosemary, let us honor her by embracing the values she held dear: showing love for her savior Jesus Christ, to her family and friends, and showing kindness to others. We thank God for her life and will carry her memory in our hearts, knowing she has left a noteworthy mark on all who knew and loved her.
