It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Rosemary Denison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on May 31, 2026, in the comforting embrace of her family. Born on January 18, 1947, in Attica, Kansas, Rosemary was a beacon of light and warmth, a true testament to the enduring spirit of love and resilience.
Raised in the quaint town of Attica, Kansas, Rosemary was the cherished daughter of Lloyd Summers and Mary Jarrett. She attended local schools where she cultivated a passion for learning and care, later pursuing a noble career in nursing. For 50 remarkable years, Rosemary dedicated herself to the service of others, working in long-term care where her kindness and compassion touched countless lives. Her commitment to her profession and the people she served was unwavering, and she left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved parents, Lloyd and Mary, as well as her dear siblings, brothers Jimmy and Lloyd, and sisters Mildred, Patricia, and Betty. She carried their memory with her, speaking fondly of the times they shared and the love that bound them together.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kelli Summers, and her treasured grandchildren, Seth, Hailey, Alex, John, and Robert Narlock, who were the joy of her life. As the proud Grand Matriarch of her family, Rosemary was a guiding light, always ready with sage advice or a helping hand. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, love, and an ever-present sense of warmth.
Rosemary's interests were as rich and varied as her personality. An avid collector of Native American artifacts, she cherished her Cherokee and Choctaw heritage, weaving its stories and traditions into the fabric of her family's life. Her artistic soul found joy in coloring pages, a simple pleasure that brought her peace and creativity. Rosemary had a penchant for scary movies, often enlivening the room with her witty commentary and contagious laughter. Her remarkable sense of humor was a gift to all, leaving those around her smiling and uplifted.
In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Rosemary's incredible life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with love and support during this difficult time.
A special message from Rosemary's family captures the essence of her enduring spirit: "Rosemary was the Grand Matriarch. She was our rock; someone we could always go to, she was always ready to give sage advice or a helping hand if she could. She was our touchstone, and we feel her absence and miss her presence forever! Forever loved and never forgotten."
Though she may have departed from this earthly realm, Rosemary Denison's spirit remains forever etched in the hearts of those who loved her. Her legacy of love, humor, and kindness will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends, ensuring that she is never forgotten and always cherished.
