In Loving Memory

Rosemarie A Guitard
April 25, 1959 — April 1, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosemarie A. Guitard, who peacefully departed this world on April 1, 2026, at the age of 66. Rosemarie spent her final moments cradled in the loving arms of her devoted husband, John, in the memory care unit of The Landing at Laurel Lake. Her departure marks the end of a beautiful journey filled with love, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to her family and passions.
Born on April 25, 1959, in Concord, Massachusetts, Rosemarie was the cherished daughter of Maureen and Roger Gregory, who predeceased her, along with her beloved adoptive father, Thomas McQueen, and her grandparents, Victoria and Helen Cornellier. Rosemarie's life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family, love, and friendship.
A proud graduate of Acton-Boxborough High School, Rosemarie pursued her passion for dental care at Northeastern University’s dental program. She dedicated many years to working in various dental practices, including those of her father and brother, and found immense joy in her work at an orthodontic practice in Pittsfield. Later in life, Rosemarie followed her heart into the world of gardening, where she cultivated not only flowers but a sanctuary of peace and beauty, ultimately retiring from her role at a local estate.
Rosemarie’s life was enriched by her marriage to John on May 6, 1989, in Acton, Massachusetts. Together, they created a loving home and shared countless adventures. Their daughter, Katherine, was the light of Rosemarie's life, and she cherished her role as a mother-in-law to Michael. While Rosemarie leaves no grandchildren, her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, including her sister Marybeth McQueen, brothers John and Michael McQueen (Lynn), nephews Adam McQueen and Kiel McQueen (Francesca), and her dear mother-in-law, Geraldine Guitard.
Rosemarie’s love for the outdoors was boundless. Summers were spent camping at her favorite sites on Hermit Island and the Battenkill, while winters found her gliding down the ski slopes of New England. A true animal lover, Rosemarie found joy and companionship in the many special dogs and cats who shared her home.
A celebration of Rosemarie's life will be held on her birthday, April 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the serene Shadowbrook Farmstay. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires or the Alzheimer’s Association, in honor of the care and support Rosemarie received during her final months.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at The Landing, whose kindness and compassion transformed them into a second family for Rosemarie. Their care and dedication were indeed angelic.
Rosemarie A. Guitard will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit, her nurturing heart, and the love she shared with all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the beauty of a life well-lived.
