With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Roseann Mitorotondo, who departed this world peacefully on June 13, 2026, at University Park Nursing Home. Born on March 13, 1950, in Newark, New Jersey, Roseann lived a life rich in love, laughter, and a steadfast dedication to her family and community.
Roseann was the cherished daughter of Michael and Annmarie Mitorotondo and was predeceased by her loving parents, her sister Cheryl Mitorotondo, and her brother Michael Mitorotondo. Her legacy is carried forward by her devoted children: AnnMarie Bandiero (nee Wanchanic), Suzanne Cheryl, and Michael Wanchanic. She was the proud grandmother of Anthony Bandiero, Ashley Landry, Tommy Ward Jr., Michael Miranda, Victoria Ann Miranda, Daniel Wanchanic, and Joseph Mitorotondo, and the doting great-grandmother to Carmeron Hejl, Carter Landry, Cadence Richardson, Angel & Nova, Anthony Jr., Myles & Letizia Bandiero, Santino Correa, and Vincent Peralta.
A graduate of Snyder High School, Roseann embarked on a lifetime of service, working as a security officer at the World Trade Center in New York City. Her commitment to her profession was unwavering, and she was known for her courage and dedication to safeguarding others.
Outside of her career, Roseann found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid bowler, a passion that brought her camaraderie and competition, and she cherished moments spent reading and playing games on Pogo. Her laughter was infectious, and she had a unique talent for bringing smiles to those around her, even in the most challenging times. Her kindness and love left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private cremation ceremony will be held to honor Roseann's life, in accordance with the wishes of her family. During this time of remembrance, we hold close the memories of her laughter, love, and the warmth she brought into our lives.
In a heartfelt message from her family, they express, "Mom, you will be forever in our hearts. We look forward to meeting you again in Paradise. Rest peacefully, Mommy. We love you so much and will miss you every minute of every day. With all our love, Annie, Sue, Cher & Mikey."
As we bid farewell to Roseann, we celebrate a life well-lived, enriched by love and laughter. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and she will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
