Rose Young Rose Young, age 80, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of her family and friends. Born on April 6, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, Rose was the cherished daughter of Bernetta Young and Ernest Young. She lived a life marked by compassion, generosity, and a vibrant free spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Rose dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a nurse at the University of Maryland. Through her work and personal life, she demonstrated unwavering kindness, empathy, and a commitment to helping those in need. Her nurturing nature extended far beyond her career, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. A talented artist and passionate cook, Rose found joy in creative expression and in bringing family together around the table. She believed deeply in the importance of love, connection, and community. Whether offering words of encouragement, sharing a meal, or lending a helping hand, she made those around her feel valued and cared for. Her warm smile, generous heart, and ability to unite people will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Rose is survived by her beloved loved ones, Jennette Pollard and Teressa Young, who will continue to honor her memory and the values she held dear. She was preceded in death by Terrell Harris, Bernadette Green, and Evelyn Pond, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life. A visitation will be held on June 21, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at 1845 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228. Funeral services will be held on June 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at 1845 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery & Chapel. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to all friends, neighbors, caregivers, and loved ones who provided support, comfort, and companionship throughout Rose’s life. Rose Young’s legacy of love, compassion, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
