Rose Saunders Younger

It is with both sorrowful hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Rose Sanders Younger, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on October 7, 2026. Born on August 6, 1957, in the warm embrace of Chester County, South Carolina, Rose was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of the late Henry Sanders, Sr. and Margaret Miazes Sanders, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that she carried throughout her life. Rose was preceded in death by her loving parents and her brother, Roy Jones. Despite these losses, she remained a pillar of strength and compassion, always putting family first. Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted children: daughters Niecy Younger and Teresa Younger, and her son Lawrence Sanders. Rose was also the beloved sister of Eugenia Sanders Gaither, who was with her through life’s many journeys. A nurturing and devoted grandmother, Rose was blessed with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Her legacy of love and dedication will undoubtedly continue to inspire them for generations to come. Rose's life will be celebrated at a service on October 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM, held at JP Holly, located at 8132 Garners Ferry Road. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman who touched so many lives with her warmth and generosity. In honor of Rose's giving spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, continuing her tradition of helping others and making the world a better place. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to each one who has offered their support, love, and prayers during this difficult time. As we say goodbye to Rose, we hold onto the beautiful memories and the love she shared so freely. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
