In Loving Memory of Rose Mary Williams With a heavy heart, we announce the peaceful passing of Rose Mary Williams on August 20, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on October 1, 1951, in the tranquil town of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Rose was a beacon of light and love to all who had the privilege of knowing her. In her final days, she was enveloped in the comforting embrace of family and friends, surrounded by an outpouring of worship, comfort, prayer, and love. Rose was the cherished daughter of the late Samuel and Tessola Murray Williams. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Allen Moore; her brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Judy Williams; and her adored nephews, Denzel Manning, Desmond Parks, and Patrick “Boo” Jenkins. Her legacy is carried forward by her devoted daughter, Rosalynn Williams (Donald), and her sons, Roderick Williams and Minister Randy (Teresa) Smith. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Patricia, Tammy, Tessie, Diane (Adrian) Scott, and Venice (Ken), and her brothers, Bishop Jimmy, Melvin, Reverend Gene, Minister Timothy, Sammy, Phil, and Pastor Vincent Williams. Her loving family extends to eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory. A service celebrating Rose's life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Funeral Home, located at 1011 Augusta St., Greenville, SC 29605. The family invites all who knew and loved Rose to join them in honoring her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Rose's spirit of generosity and kindness. The Williams Family has shared a heartfelt message, capturing the depth of their sorrow and love: “They say memories are golden, well maybe that is true. We never wanted memories, we only wanted you. A million times we needed you, a million times we’ve cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one can ever fill. If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, we’d walk the path to heaven to bring you back again. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.” Rose Mary Williams touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her memory will forever remain a blessing in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
