June 20, 1926 — February 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Rose Marie Pitroski, who departed this world on February 10, 2026, at the tender age of 99. Born on June 20, 1926, in Connellsville, PA, Rose lived a life imbued with love, dedication, and service to others. The cherished daughter of William and Freda Steindl, Rose was one of seven siblings, predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Pitroski, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her beloved children, Donna Moore (Ralph) and Linda Goodwin (Russ), her dear sister Betty Kuhns, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was also the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Rose and Joseph Pitroski married on January 14, 1952, and shared a beautiful, if brief, union until his passing in 1969. Rose was a devoted wife and mother, dedicating herself to her family and the school community where she volunteered tirelessly during her children's formative years. Following the untimely loss of her husband, Rose demonstrated remarkable resilience, entering the workforce full-time as an office manager for a local lumber company. After retiring, she continued to work as a secretary well into her 80s, a testament to her unwavering work ethic and zest for life. A pillar of strength and a beacon of light, Rose's faith was a cornerstone of her life. As an active member of Saint Frances de Sales Church in Salisbury, Maryland, she found purpose and fulfillment in serving her community. Her favorite activity was to help others; her selflessness and encouraging nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Rose's warm smile and kind heart were known to all, bringing joy and comfort to those around her. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rose's remarkable life at a service on April 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Connellsville, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in Rose's memory, honoring her lifelong commitment to helping others. As we bid farewell to Rose Marie Pitroski, we remember a life well-lived, a heart well-loved, and a spirit that will forever remain in our hearts. Her memory will be eternally cherished and her legacy carried on by those she leaves behind.
