With heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Rose Catherine Ihezie (née Ugorji), a cherished mother, sister, and friend. Rose departed this life peacefully on July 31, 2026, at Kindred Hospital in Paramount, CA, following a brief and courageous battle with brain cancer. Rose was born on June 21, 1946, in Nigeria, to her beloved parents, Nwachukwu and Helen Ugorji. From a young age, Rose demonstrated a nurturing spirit and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and strength, qualities she embraced fully and imparted to her children and those around her. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Ihezie, Rose leaves behind a legacy of love in her four children: Chibuzo, Emeka, Ikenna, and Ifeanyi. She was a devoted grandmother to four grandchildren, each of whom she adored dearly. Rose was a beacon of love and acceptance, creating a sanctuary where others felt seen and valued. She believed in the transformative power of love, teaching through her actions and words that it is the most potent force for healing and growth. As her family navigates this profound loss, we kindly ask for your prayers, words of comfort, and messages of hope. The family deeply appreciates the love and support shown by friends and well-wishers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
