Born on July 28, 1945, in the warm embrace of Hope, Arkansas, Roscoe was the cherished son of Otis and Ida Kennebrew Edwards. Throughout his life, he embodied the values of hard work, dedication, and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Roscoe's roots ran deep in Hope, where he spent his formative years, graduating proudly from Yerger High School in the class of 1963. His education laid the foundation for a life characterized by diligence and perseverance. He devoted 25 years of his career to Burner Ivory (Handle Mill), where he worked with integrity and commitment until his retirement. Never one to be idle, Roscoe later joined Klipsch, where he continued to share his talents and work ethic until his health began to decline. Roscoe was a man of quiet strength who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his warm smile, which could light up a room, and his kind heart, which touched all who crossed his path. His life was a testament to the values instilled in him by his parents, and he carried forward their legacy of love and resilience. Family was the cornerstone of Roscoe's life. He was a devoted father to his surviving son, Brandy (Carolyn) Edwards Sr., and a cherished grandfather to Quinton D. Stuart and Brandy Edwards Jr. Roscoe's family extended beyond bloodlines, and he was a nurturing figure to his devoted nieces, Annie Edwards and Carol Smith, who held him in the highest regard. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts. Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Ida, his 13 siblings, and his two beloved sons, James Thornton and Simone Edwards. Despite these profound losses, Roscoe's spirit remained unyielding, a testament to his unwavering faith and inner strength. A celebration of Roscoe's life will be held on February 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Hope Haven Assistance Living facility, located at 500 West 23rd Street, Hope, Arkansas. This gathering will serve as a chance to honor Roscoe's life, share cherished memories, and find solace in the company of those who loved him.
