It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rosalind Johnson, who departed from this world on June 3, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on May 17, 1953, in Camden, New Jersey, Rosalind lived a life of kindness, warmth, and extraordinary love. She was 73 years old at the time of her passing. Rosalind was the cherished daughter of Olivia and Brainard Purnell, who instilled in her the values of compassion and resilience. She was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Sheila Purnell and Valory Purnell, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life. A devoted wife, Rosalind was the beloved partner of Frank Johnson, with whom she shared a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they raised a family that became the center of her universe. Rosalind leaves behind her loving children: Marry, Olivia, Ben, Nate, and Kelly Johnson, each of whom she adored and supported with all her heart. Her legacy continues through her 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She delighted in spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and unconditional love. Rosalind's family was her greatest joy, and she leaves them with a treasure trove of cherished memories. Rosalind's warmth extended beyond her family; she was a cherished friend to many and a beacon of kindness in her community. Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and heard, and her empathy and understanding knew no bounds. A service to celebrate Rosalind's extraordinary life will be held on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Asbury Community Church, located at 2220 Woodlynne Ave., Woodlynne, NJ 08107. Family, friends, and all those who were touched by Rosalind's presence are invited to join us in honoring her life and legacy. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the love Rosalind shared with us and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and her memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration. As we bid farewell to Rosalind, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light she so generously gave to others.
