Rosalind Annette Draper

May 28, 1941 — September 11, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosalind Annette Draper, who departed this world on September 11, 2026. Born on May 28, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, Rosalind was a beacon of style, grace, and warmth to all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of Janet ‘Mother’ Teasley and Henry Draper, and while they have preceded her in death, their legacy of love lives on through Rosalind. Rosalind's journey began in St. Louis, where she graduated from Soldan High School and furthered her education at Community College. Her career was marked by dedication and excellence, with notable tenures at the Post Office and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. However, it was at HUD Housing Authority that Rosalind truly left her mark, retiring after 30 years with a legacy of service and commitment to her community. Rosalind was a woman of faith, having received Christ at an early age. She was a longtime member of the Good Shepherd Church, where she found solace and community until its closure. Her faith was mirrored in her kindness, infectious laughter, and the joy she brought into every room she entered. Fashion was Rosalind's signature — her unique style in clothes, jewelry, and even furniture was admired by many. She was known for her vibrant personality, a smile that could light up any room, and a love for life’s simple pleasures, including dining with loved ones, shopping on HSN and QVC, and visiting the casino. Family was paramount to Rosalind. She is survived by her beloved sister Joan and brother Don, both residing in Texas, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and even great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. Rosalind was predeceased by her parents, her brother Michael Lewis, sister Hortens Jones, nephews Calvin Jones and Donnie Lewis, niece Veronica Sanders, and great-niece Charise Jones. A celebration of Rosalind's life will take place on October 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at OZELLA J FOSTER, located at 4100 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, St. Louis, Missouri 63113. The family respectfully suggests that those wishing to honor Rosalind's memory consider making a donation to a charity of their choice. The family of Rosalind A. Draper extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers during this difficult time. Rosalind's spirit will forever be cherished and remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
