Rosa Jane Warford, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her immediate family on October 11, 2026. Born on December 30, 1949, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Rosa was the cherished daughter of the late James and Lorene Horton.
Rosa's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and her incredible capacity to love. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James "Jimmy" Ramage, her beloved son, Robert "Bobby" Ramage, and her dear sisters, Ebbie Frances Boyles and Barbara Ann Simons. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her daughter Beth Fletcher and husband Craig, her sons David Ramage and wife Rana, and Lewis Mills and wife Lisa. Her memory will continue to be cherished by her six grandchildren, Cody Ramage and wife Catherine, Raegan Martin and husband Robert, Jacob Ramage, Hunter Ramage, Landon Fletcher, and Logan Ramage, as well as her great-grandson, Ray Martin. Rosa also leaves behind a very close family friend, Shannon Stelbrink, and her devoted caretaker, Dell Walls, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rosa graduated from Drew High School in Drew, Mississippi, and later enjoyed a fulfilling career at Swift Transportation, where she retired as a Driver Manager and in Truck Leasing. Her colleagues remembered her for her dedication, kindness, and the warmth she brought to the workplace.
A woman of steadfast loyalty and kindness, Rosa loved nothing more than gathering with family and friends. She found joy in these gatherings and was a cherished presence at the VFW in Water Valley, Mississippi, where her laughter and loving spirit will be dearly missed.
The family will host a service to celebrate Rosa's life on October 17, 2026, at 11:00 am at Dickens Funeral Home, located at 99 Public Square in Batesville, Mississippi. All who knew her are welcome to join in honoring her memory.
