In Loving Memory of Roosevelt Roosevelt, affectionately known to many as "Uncle Rogue" or "Roadhog," was born on December 23, 1946, and peacefully passed away in his sleep on July 29, 2026, at his sister’s home. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of family and friends who cherished his presence and unwavering spirit. Born to Willie Hollins and Liddel Clanton, Roosevelt was a beacon of love and strength. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, his brother Willie Hollins Jr., and sister Sarah Blue, his legacy of kindness and generosity continues to live on in those he touched. Roosevelt is survived by a loving family who meant the world to him: Willie B. Boles, John Wesley Hollins, Rosemary Hollins, Robert Duval Hollins, Andre Hollins, Tiffany Hollins, Tasha Hollins, Roosevelt Hollins Jr., Michael Hollins, Tommy Lee Brown, and numerous other children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. His family was his pride and joy, and he never missed an opportunity to show up for them, making each moment count. Though details of his education are sparse, Roosevelt's life was a testament to lifelong learning and personal growth. He managed his own lawn care service until his health no longer permitted, a vocation that allowed him to connect with the community he loved dearly. Roosevelt's commitment to his work was surpassed only by his dedication to his family and friends. A man of many talents and interests, Roosevelt never met a stranger. His warm smile and welcoming nature made everyone feel at home, and his ability to bring people together was unmatched. Whether it was a family gathering or a casual conversation, his presence was a gift to all who knew him. A service to celebrate Roosevelt's remarkable life will be held on September 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Cooley Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Roosevelt's memory to the Alzheimer's Research Association, located in Saint Clair Shores, MI, USA. This cause was close to his heart, and contributions will support ongoing research efforts. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff of Asper Care for their compassionate support and care during Roosevelt's final days.
