Ronnie Neal Walker

August 13, 1965 — May 5, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronnie Neal Walker, a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Ronnie, a lifelong beacon of laughter and love, left this world on May 5, 2026, at the age of 60, surrounded by the warmth of his family at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. Born on August 13, 1965, in Chicago, IL, Ronnie was the beloved son of the late Renald Walker and the late Peggy (Pipkin) Kelley. Though his parents have passed on, their legacy of kindness and joy lives on in the vibrant life Ronnie led and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who had the fortune to know him. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army, a testament to his unwavering commitment and sense of duty. After his honorable service, he dedicated his career to the Women's Therapeutic Residential Center at West Tennessee State Penitentiary in Henning, TN, where he retired as a Facility Maintenance Supervisor. His dedication to his work was paralleled only by his devotion to his family and community. In 1999, Ronnie found his soulmate in Dana Walker, his best friend and beloved wife of 26 years. Their love story was a testament to a deep connection and mutual respect, a partnership so intertwined that "there's no Ronnie without Dana, and no Dana without Ronnie." Ronnie's legacy lives on through his cherished children: Heather Walker of Ripley, TN; Emilee (Brad) Cain of Halls, TN; and Bradley Walker of Halls, TN. His three grandchildren, Emma Joe "His Wiggles," Mia Grace, and Braxton, were the lights of his life, with whom he shared countless joyous moments. Survived by his loving siblings—Cindy Stillwell, Lori Walker, and Jackie Olsum, along with his brother Hank (Angela) Walker—Ronnie was the heart of a family that cherished laughter and togetherness. His home was always open, a place where friends and family gathered to share in the warmth of his humor and kindness. A man of many passions, Ronnie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was riding SxS's, watching cowboys, or crafting a masterpiece in his woodworking space, his love for the outdoors was boundless. Singing karaoke with friends and family, he filled rooms with his voice and the echo of laughter. His strong faith in God guided his life, infusing it with purpose and love. Ronnie was a man full of humor, a jokester whose fun-loving spirit brought joy to all who knew him. He believed in the power of laughter and cherished the moments spent with his family and friends, creating a legacy of warmth and happiness. As we remember Ronnie, we celebrate a life lived with laughter, love, and an unyielding spirit. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the stories, jokes, and joyous memories he leaves behind. A service to honor Ronnie's life and legacy will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to celebrate the extraordinary man who brought so much joy into their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ronnie's memory to a charity of your choice, spreading the love and laughter he gave so freely. Ronnie Neal Walker will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his life will be forever etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
