It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronnie E Dot, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend. Ronnie departed this world on April 5, 2026, at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on August 11, 1965, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Ronnie's life was a testament to love, resilience, and service to others. Ronnie was the cherished son of the late Ronnie E Dot Sr. and Essie Mae Wilson Dot, and the loving grandson of Dorothy Lee Dot and Elizabeth Dot, who preceded him in death. Their love and guidance shaped the compassionate and caring man that Ronnie became. A proud graduate of Vicksburg High School in 1981, Ronnie answered the call to serve his country with honor and distinction. For 25 years, he dedicated himself to the military, embodying the virtues of discipline and integrity. His service was a source of immense pride for his family and a testament to his unwavering commitment to his nation. Following his distinguished military career, Ronnie found his calling as a mechanical engineer at Ford Motor Company, where he worked for 15 years before retiring in 2005. Known for his technical prowess and innovative mind, he played a pivotal role in leading the team that designed the groundbreaking 1998 transmission system. Beyond his professional achievements, Ronnie was a mentor to many young engineers, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and those he guided. Ronnie's passions extended beyond his career. He found joy in cooking, a skill he shared with his family, often gathering loved ones around the table for meals filled with laughter and warmth. A talented mechanic, he loved fixing cars and passed this knowledge on to his children. Above all, he cherished the moments spent bonding with his family, sharing stories, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. Ronnie's quick wit and warm smile were legendary, lighting up every room he entered. His sense of humor and kind-hearted nature brought comfort and joy to all who knew him. His generosity knew no bounds, and his kindness touched countless lives, leaving the world a better place. Ronnie leaves behind his beloved children: Sheena Dot, Ronnie Dot, Tanisha Dot, Lee Dot, and Patrick Dot, along with his 15 grandchildren, including Ronnie Stewart, Shamya Newsome, Tanysha Newsome, Dee Harris, and Okisa Martin. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, whom he adored. His family was his greatest pride, and his legacy of love and laughter will continue to flourish through them. A service to honor Ronnie's remarkable life will be held on April 24, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Greater Grove Street, located at 2715 Alcorn Drive, Vicksburg, Mississippi. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care during Ronnie's illness. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the memories we shared with Ronnie and the love he bestowed upon us. As we gather to celebrate his life, we remember him with affection and gratitude, forever holding him in our hearts. "Forever in our hearts."
