It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Ronda Jeanette Nuchols Murphy, who departed this world peacefully on February 24, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on July 28, 1960, in the charming town of Maryville, Tennessee, Ronda was a beacon of love, kindness, and resilience throughout her life.
Ronda was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Donald "Big Bob" and Juanita Florenzs Dixon Nuchols. Her upbringing in Maryville was deeply enriched by the love of her family and the bonds formed with her siblings. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Grace Elisha Nuchols Allen, and her brother, Larry Glen Nuchols, whose memories she held dear. Ronda’s journey through life was also shared with her devoted husband, Steve Murphy, whose passing she mourned with great sorrow.
Ronda's legacy lives on through her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Ashleigh Williams, and her son-in-law, Justin, who were a constant source of pride and joy in her life. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and she leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Gabriel, Micah, and Brooklyn Mink, who brought immense light and laughter into her days. Ronda also leaves behind her cherished stepchildren, Steve Murphy Jr., April Arms, and Jennifer Jordan, who she embraced with open arms and a loving heart.
Her memory will forever be held by her surviving brothers, Robert "Bob" Nuchols, along with his wife Angie, and Terry Nuchols. Ronda's extended family included a network of devoted cousins, Roger (Gail), Benny (Tressie), Scott (Kathy), Jama (James), Timmy, Trisha (Ken), John, and Bobby, as well as her loving aunts, Carol and Debbie. Her brother-in-law, Joe Murphy, and sister-in-law, Brenda Murphy, along with Jennifer Johnson, and Randy Ogle were also a cherished part of her life.
A celebration of Ronda’s life will be held on March 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory and to share in the stories and laughter that defined her life.
Ronda Jeanette Nuchols Murphy will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who have gone before her, and may her love continue to guide us all.
