June 7, 1940 — July 15, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Russell on July 15, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on June 7, 1940, in the picturesque town of The Dalles, Oregon, Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and joy. Ron was the cherished son of Lee and Agnetta Russell and grew up alongside his sisters, Marsha and Jean, who predeceased him. His formative years in Oregon were filled with wonder and adventure, setting the stage for a lifetime of exploration and creativity. In 1977, Ron's life took a beautiful turn when he married Mary Zeiler, embracing not only a lifelong partner but also a loving family. Together, Ron and Mary spent 49 wonderful years building a life full of love and laughter. Ron became a devoted father to Rob (Linda) Zeiler, Tracy (Steve) Sandon, and Donna (Todd) Thiel, offering them unwavering support and affection. His legacy extends to his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the wisdom and warmth he imparted. Professionally, Ron dedicated 27 years as a skilled Xerox technician, a role that perfectly matched his meticulous nature and problem-solving abilities. His colleagues admired him for his dedication and expertise, and he left an indelible mark on everyone he worked with. Outside of his career, Ron had an insatiable curiosity and a zest for life. He was an avid photographer, capturing the beauty of the world through his lens. Music flowed through his veins, and he found great joy in playing the piano. The skies also called to him, and he embraced the freedom of flying small planes, weaving through the clouds with a heart full of wonder. In 1987, Ron and Mary moved to Kent, Washington, where they continued to nurture their growing family and create countless memories. Ron's gentle spirit and infectious smile brought light to all who knew him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Cascade Place in Enumclaw and Envision Hospice of Tacoma for their exceptional care and support during Ron's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Envision Hospice, honoring Ron's appreciation for the care he received. Ron Russell's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and adventure. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy, eternally etched in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit will forever soar in the memories of those he leaves behind.
