In Loving Memory

Ronald Richardson Sr.
June 18, 1954 — April 16, 2026
It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved Ronald Richardson Sr., who peacefully departed this earthly life on April 16, 2026, at the age of 71. Ronnie, as he was affectionately known, was born on June 18, 1954, in the quaint town of Winterville, Mississippi. He was the cherished son of the late Percy and Savannha Richardson, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms in the hereafter.
Ronnie was a man of unwavering faith, a member of the Mt Moriah MB Church, where he found solace and community throughout his life. It is here, at 110 Gamble St., that we will gather on May 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM to celebrate his extraordinary life and bid him a loving farewell.
A graduate of Obannon School, Ronnie's dedication to hard work was evident in his 25-year career at USG. His contributions there were a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.
Outside of his professional life, Ronnie found immense joy in the simple pleasures of nature. His love for gardening brought forth lush landscapes that were a visual testament to his patience and nurturing spirit. Fishing was another of his cherished pastimes, allowing him moments of tranquility and reflection by the water's edge.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his dear sisters, Emma Jean Sutton and Doris Mae Truite, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his devoted wife, Dianne Richardson, who stood by his side through every season of life. His loving spirit lives on in his children, Ronald (Anita) Richardson and Mellonee (Delmar) Thaggard, and in his beloved stepdaughters, Ayanna (Pretis) Hall and Chantelle Johnson.
His greatest joy, however, was found in the laughter and love of his 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His family was his pride and joy, and their memories with him will be cherished forever.
As we gather to honor Ronnie's life, we hold close the warmth of his smile, the kindness of his heart, and the strength of his character. His legacy will continue to bloom in the gardens he tended, in the waters he fished, and in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Mt Moriah MB Church in Ronnie's memory, ensuring that his spirit continues to support the community he so dearly loved.
A special message from his granddaughters reminds us of the gentle soul Ronnie was: "Though you have left this world, your love and wisdom will remain with us forever. We will carry your lessons in our hearts and strive to live as you did, with kindness, grace, and unwavering faith."
Ronald Richardson Sr. will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love and faith will forever remain a guiding light for all who knew him.
