Ronald Nagreen
January 28, 1949 — October 24, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Nagreen, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on October 24, 2026, surrounded by his cherished family. Born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on January 28, 1949, Ron was the beloved son of Ruth and Vernon Nagreen, who predeceased him.
Ron led a life rich with love, laughter, and dedication. He married his soulmate, Priscilla Lundell, on June 5, 1976, in their hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their daughter Michelle and cherishing their role as grandparents to Lydia and Jace, who were the light of Ron's life.
A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Stout in 1972, Ron held a BA and furthered his education at Harper College with courses in computer programming. His career spanned 24 meaningful years at AG Communication Systems, where he was admired for his work ethic and dedication.
Ron’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was an active and devoted member of Christ Community Church in Streamwood, where he served as an usher and engaged in numerous community outreach programs. He volunteered with the Kids Hope program and supported the Evangelical Child and Family Agency in Wheaton, embodying his deep commitment to his Christian faith and community service.
From an early age, Ron was captivated by the world of Amateur Radio, a passion he carried throughout his life. In high school, he was the star center of the basketball team, a role that brought him immense joy. Cars were another lifelong love, a passion cultivated by his father. Among his many cherished vehicles, his '73 Corvette held a special place in his heart. In retirement, Ron found joy in reloading and shooting at the range, but his greatest joy came from his grandchildren, whom he often cared for and adored.
Ron was known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, always able to bring a smile to those around him. He was a sweet and caring gentleman, leaving a legacy of kindness and love.
He is survived by his loving wife Priscilla, his devoted daughter Michelle, his treasured grandchildren Lydia and Jace, and his brothers, Dennis of Hortonville and Paul of Appleton.
A service to honor and celebrate Ron’s life will be held on November 6, 2026, at the Village Church of Bartlett, located at 601 W. Bartlett Rd, Bartlett, IL 60103. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Evangelical Child and Family Agency, an organization close to Ron’s heart.
