It is with both profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Lee Arnce on April 29, 2026, at the age of 80. Ronald passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and humor. Born on February 6, 1946, in Riverside, California, Ronald was the beloved son of Mary Ruth Horning and Robert Leo Arnce. He was predeceased by his parents and his cherished brother, Ricky Dean Arnce. Ronald’s early years were marked by a longing for adventure that would guide him throughout his life. Ronald's journey was enriched by his marriage to his devoted wife, Mary Elizabeth Guthrie. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. A proud father, Ronald leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his children: Eyvonne Cherie Griffith and her husband, William Griffith; Rebecca Lee Harsh and her partner, Kurt Lee Collins; Adam Arnce; and John Robert Arnce and his wife, Kayci Jo Arnce. Five grandchildren and seven grandchildren. His stepson’s Issac Guthrie, Roy Guthrie, Michael Guthrie and Keston Guthrie along with their children and grandchildren. Ronald's heart was filled with joy by his grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought him endless happiness and pride. Ronald is also survived by his sister, Sandy Logan, with whom he shared a special sibling bond. Together, they created cherished memories that spanned a lifetime. Throughout his life, Ronald was known for his generosity, warmth, and infectious sense of humor. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His love for storytelling, his keen intellect, and his boundless curiosity made him a fascinating and cherished friend. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the memories of Ronald's laughter, his stories, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. A 40 day memorial dinner will be held to celebrate Ronald's life in Klawock Alaska at the ANB hall Friday, July 10th at 5:00 pm potluck style (he has always loved good food!) As we say goodbye to a remarkable man, we carry forward the lessons he taught us of love, resilience, and the importance of cherishing each moment. Ronald Lee Arnce will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
