December 7, 1955 — October 9, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Eugene Cook, a beloved brother, father, and friend, who left this world on October 9, 2026. Born on December 7, 1955, in Delaware, Ohio, Ronald was a man whose life was filled with love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. A talented painter by trade, Ronald devoted 12 years to his craft, painting not just walls, but memories for those he served. His artistry wasn't confined to his job; it flourished in his hobbies as well. Ronald had a penchant for creating intricate art from matchsticks, a testament to his patience and attention to detail. His love for fishing allowed him moments of tranquility and reflection, while his affection for dogs filled his home with warmth and loyal companionship. Ronald was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Brenda Cook, whom he deeply mourned since her passing in 2015. Together, they created a beautiful family that survives him, including his children Rick Fox, Luke Fox, Tracy Fox Bennett, and Pearl Fox. He was a loving brother to Norma Jean Fox of Cardington, Ohio, and Sandra Kay King of Warren, Ohio. He also shared a special bond with Matt Palmer and Mark Palmer, who were like sons to him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In his passing, Ronald leaves behind not just a legacy of art and love, but a family that will continue to honor his memory. His sister Norma Jean Fox, his children, and his extended family were his pride and joy, and his spirit will live on through them. The family of Ronald Eugene Cook would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Riverside Hospital for their compassionate care and support during his final days. In honor of Ronald's memory, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Ronald's generous spirit and desire to make the world a better place. As we remember Ronald, let us celebrate a life well-lived, cherishing the memories he has left behind and the love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Ronald Eugene Cook welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
