It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald E. DeVera, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend. Born on July 25, 1964, in Parma, Ohio, Ronald departed from this world on June 3, 2026, at the age of 61. His journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and a dedication to making the world a better place for those around him. Ronald was the cherished son of the late Richard DeVera and Helen DeVera, . He carried forward the values and lessons imparted by his parents, living a life full of integrity and compassion. Ronald is survived by his devoted wife, Julia DeVera, whom he married on August 3, 2002, in their hometown of Parma, Ohio. Together, they spent 24 wonderful years, building a life rich with love and laughter, and raising four beautiful children: Maria, Samuel, Aaron, and Sophia DeVera. A proud graduate of Parma Senior High School in 1982, Ronald went on to further his education at Kent State University, where he earned a Master's degree as a Certified Fraud Examiner in 1998. His career spanned 25 years as a Certified Fraud Examiner for the Federal Government, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise. His commitment to justice and integrity left an indelible mark on those he worked with and served. Ronald also served his country with honor as an 11B in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1986, a testament to his selflessness and bravery. His time in the military instilled in him a profound sense of duty and a lifelong appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy. A man of deep faith, Ronald was an active member of the Nazarene Church for many years. His spiritual journey was one characterized by service, love, and an unwavering belief in the power of community. Ronald's involvement in the church was a cornerstone of his life, where he formed bonds that lasted a lifetime. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Ronald had a unique gift for brightening any room he entered. Always ready with a joke to lighten the mood, he made everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, spreading joy and comfort wherever he went. Ronald was a man who truly embodied the spirit of giving, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. As we remember Ronald, let us celebrate the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind.
