In Loving Memory

Ronald Dewayne Woods
August 11, 1948 — April 30, 2026
It is with heavy hearts yet enduring gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Ronald Dewayne Woods, who left this world peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on August 11, 1948, in Tonasket, Washington, Ron was the beloved son of Everett and Myrtle Woods.
Ron was predeceased by his cherished wife, Leafy Woods, with whom he shared a life filled with love and partnership. He is survived by his children, who carry forward his legacy with pride: his sons, David Harms and Sean Boland, and daughters, Amy Lietz and Erica Wood, who along with son-in-law Chris Wood, were constant sources of joy and pride for him.
Ron was a grandfather to seven grandchildren: Kimiko Harms, Andreya Pattison, Madison Lietz, Justin Lietz, Logan Wood, Emma Lindstrom, and Brynlee Wood. His great-grandchildren, Ava and Kiyah Pattison, brought a twinkle to his eye and warmth to his heart. His sister, Lois Kloth, and lifelong friends, Gary and Linda Hancock, and Misty Lettenmaier, will deeply miss his presence and companionship.
Throughout his career, Ron worked in sheet metal at Neilsen Metal Manufacturing, where he was known for his exceptional work ethic and camaraderie. He took great pride in his craft and formed lasting bonds with his co-workers, speaking of them with respect and admiration long after the plant closed in 2008, when he retired.
Ron found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing and camping. He had a tradition of taking his daughters camping every year, rain or shine, teaching them the value of perseverance and the joy of nature. Despite their teenage reluctance, these trips became treasured memories, embodying Ron's belief in the beauty of shared experiences.
In celebrating Ron's life, his family extends heartfelt thanks to those who stood by him throughout his journey. "Our dad had a pretty good life and a lot of you were a part of it in some way," they shared in a special message. "A marriage that made him happy, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren he cherished, friends he loved, they were a close few but greatly treasured. Former co-workers he still spoke of with respect and admiration. He will be missed and remembered by many. Thank you for being here today to honor his memory, and a special thank you to Misty for organizing this gathering. We are certain Dad would feel as honored and grateful for your presence here today as we do."
As we bid farewell to Ronald Dewayne Woods, we hold close the memories of his laughter, kindness, and unwavering love. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
