Ron was surrounded by the love of his family and the serenity of the memories they shared, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, adventure, and unwavering love.
Born on May 31, 1949, in Caryville, Tennessee, and grew up in Dayton, Ohio. Ron was the cherished son of Virgil and Uldean Wilson. From a young age, he exhibited a zest for life and a willful spirit that would characterize his life's journey. He grew up in a vibrant household alongside his brothers Gary(Charolette), Jack(Donna), and Mike(Debbie), with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, particularly through their shared love for the great outdoors.
Ron was a man who found peace and joy beneath the canopy of trees, alongside rippling streams, and in the quietude of the hunt. His passion for fishing and hunting was not only a pastime but a way of life, devoted with the camaraderie and fellowship of his beloved brothers. These moments in nature were where Ron truly thrived, and where he taught others to appreciate the simple joys of life.
Ron’s larger-than-life personality was infectious, and his fun-loving spirit was a beacon to all who knew him. His laughter could light up a room, and his stories could captivate any audience. He had an extraordinary ability to bring people together, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for generations.
He was a devoted family man, predeceased by his first wife, Linda Kay Wilson, and his beloved grandson, Christopher Wilson. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Smathers Wilson, who stood by his side, sharing in his joys and providing unwavering support throughout their journey together. He leaves behind his son, David Wilson and his wife Lisa, daughters Tonya Wilson and Christy Wilson White and her husband Ralph, each of whom carry forward his legacy of love and laughter.
Ron was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.
His special bond with his cat, "Baby," was yet another testament to his capacity for love and companionship.
Beyond his family, Ron's influence extended to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His presence was a gift, his friendship a treasure, and his love a guiding light.
