In Loving Memory

Ronald Dale Beeman
January 22, 1941 — May 20, 2025
It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Dale Beeman on May 20, 2025. Born on January 22, 1941, in the charming town of Austin, Minnesota, Ronald was a beacon of love, wisdom, and dedication to his family and country.
Ronald was the cherished son of Lynn and Irene Beeman, whose values and integrity he carried throughout his remarkable life. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Josephine Marjorie Beeman, with whom he shared many joyful years of marriage, building a family rooted in love and understanding.
His educational journey began in Austin, Minnesota, where he graduated from high school before embarking on a path of lifelong learning. Ronald pursued engineering and pre-law studies at the University of Maryland in Minnesota, earning a BA in Government and Politics, followed by a BS in Computer Studies/Management. His thirst for knowledge and passion for technological advancement shaped a distinguished career in service to his nation.
Ronald's commitment to his country was as steadfast as his love for his family. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1962, where he was a proud member of the USASA Communications Unit. His quick mastery of arms was marked by his qualification as a sharpshooter and expert with the M-4 rifle. His military service took him overseas, where he became an esteemed army security agency teletype repairman and installer.
From 1963 to 2005, Ronald dedicated himself to the National Security Agency (NSA), where his talents and leadership skills were recognized through various pivotal roles. He progressed from field site engineer to Senior Advisor, ultimately serving as Missions Director before retiring in November 2005. His contributions to national security were invaluable, and his legacy in the agency remains enduring.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ronald was a man of many stories, quick wit, and boundless generosity. He filled any room with warmth, often sharing tales that captivated and amused all fortunate enough to listen. His genuine smiles and unwavering kindness left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Ronald's greatest legacy, however, lies in his family. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; his son, Anthony Beeman; and his daughters, Jacqueline Chaney and Sharon Abbott. He leaves behind a loving sister, Susan Beeman, and a cherished line of descendants: seven grandchildren, Connor and Alexandra Beeman, Samantha O'Shaughnessy Terrell, Ranier Aric Chaney, Eloise, Rhiannon, and Rohan Abbott; and four great-grandchildren, Dexter, Bonita, Molly, and Cohan. His nephews, Scott, Chris, Eric, and Craig Cardell, also mourn his passing while celebrating his life.
As we bid farewell to Ronald, we remember a man whose life was a testament to dedication, love, and resilience. He taught us the value of service, the power of a smile, and the importance of family. His spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Ronald's life will be held at a future date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the indelible mark he left on this world. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veteran's charity of choice, in keeping with Ronald's lifelong commitment to support those who serve.
May Ronald Dale Beeman rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and that his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
